Thank you very much for the friend request. Your essay on past presidents is one of the most thoughtful, succinct and incisive I have read. If you have seen any of my posts, you will know that I value critical thinking, whether it be expressed in serious prose or a more satirical approach. We need much, much more critical thinking in this country--thinking that goes down two and three layers instead of just jumping to conclusions based on the latest Internet rumor. Thanks for demonstrating one of the nobler possibilities of these forums.

Did you hear the item on Fresh Air about the new book on Clinton? It seems he made a series of tapes for the historical record during his presidency, addressing events as they unfolded. It sounds fascinating, and I certainly want to read it.
